The Makita® 18 V LXT® lithium-ion cordless blower (XBU05Z, tool only) is a go to clean-up tool and a favorite on job sites and in workshops. It seamlessly combines the convenience of cordless with the superior power to weight ratio of Makita® 18 V LXT® lithium-ion battery technology. The XBU05Z is the perfect addition to any kit, tool box or workshop. The XBU05Z reaches fast speeds of 219 mph. It features a Makita® built high torque motor with three speeds. The blower weighs just 4.1 lb (with battery, sold separately) with a more compact design at 20-3/8 in long and an ergonomic shape for reduced operator fatigue. Its part of Makita® expanding 18 V lithium-ion system, the worlds largest cordless tool system powered by 18 V lithium-ion slide-style batteries. Makita® 18 V LXT® lithium-ion batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger. For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita® created Star Protection Computer Controls™. Star Protection is communication technology that allows the star protection equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions during use to protect against overloading, over discharging and overheating. For increased versatility, the tool can also be powered by Makita® 18 V LXT® lithium-ion batteries with the star symbol on the battery indicating Star Protection inside.
